Our client, a leader in the financial services sector focusing on digital assets and derivatives, is seeking a Software Engineer (Japanese Speaking) to build and enhance core platform services. The role involves developing Java backend systems, collaborating with frontend teams, supporting cloud deployments, and working with product, operations, and trading stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable solutions

【Responsibilities】
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for digital-asset and capital-markets workflows (e.g., wallet and trade lifecycle, monitoring, integrations).
- Build and maintain REST/JSON APIs and integrate with internal and external providers (custody, valuation, screening, exchanges, etc.).
- Ensure security, compliance, and operational stability through logging, auditing, access control, monitoring, and resilience measures.
- Collaborate with sales, trading, operations, and compliance teams to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.
- Write clean, well-tested code and support code reviews, CI/CD processes, and production operations.

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience with strong Java development
- Business conversational Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) is essential to communicate with stakeholders and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of distributed systems (APIs, networking, concurrency, caching)
- Basic knowledge of blockchain and crypto concepts
- Experience with relational databases and system integrations
- End-to-end development experience (design to implementation), ideally with trading, wallet, KYC/AML, or account systems

(Advantageous)
- Knowledge of React.js, AWS, Redis, or cloud environments
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, or infrastructure automation
- Understanding of financial markets, banking, or trading operations
- Exposure to capital markets, derivatives, or digital asset trading platforms
